Born in 1968 in Athens where he graduated with a BA in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics. He completed the 18th month postgraduate Executive Training Program in Japan (www.etp.org) and has worked as a management trainee in Canada, Hungary and Japan. He speaks English, French, Japanese and some Italian and German. Vassilis is currently President of the Hellenic Fashion Industry Association (www.greekfashion.gr) and has been President of the International Apparel Federation (www.iafnet.com) between 2005 and 2010. He has taught elogistics at Postgraduate level at the University of Pireaus. He writes about food and wine for Kathimerini and is a member of the Chaine des Rôtisseurs & the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. He loves symphonic music, opera, gastronomy, wines and marathons.
